Registration to the Semifinals of the Panamerican Individual Championship is open.
After 22 months of play, all qualifiers in the Preliminary events are defined. These 32 players join another 30 players that had preregistered to the Semifinals in advance.
Any player from the American continent with a rating equal or greater than 2200 may register now directly to the semifinals.
You may submit the entry fee of 18 USD using Paypal here or through your national federation.
Registrations close on July 10, 2015.
The semifinal groups will start on August 1, 2015.
Event size will depend on number of entries, only the group winner will advance to the Final. Tiebreak rules will apply in order as follows: Baumbach rule, Sonnerborn-Berger, individual result between tied players, number of wins with the black pieces, and finally higher rating. It is likely that norms will be available but this will be confirmed once all participants are known.
There will be a cash prize in the Final of 1,200 USD, winner takes all.
A diploma will be awarded to each semifinal group winner.
