Tournament Format
The German Correspondence Chess Federation (BdF) warmly invites players from all over the world to participate.
The tournament is organized for players with an ICCF rating from 0 to 2750.
Each player may enter up to two sections.
All entries (maximum two per player) will be grouped according to the player’s ICCF rating.
Rating Groups
- Groups 01 & 02: 2500–2750
- Groups 03 & 04: 2450–2499
- Groups 05 & 06: 2400–2449
- Groups 07 & 08: 2300–2399
- Groups 09 & 10: 2150–2299
- Groups 11 & 12: 1900–2149
- Groups 13 & 14: 0000–1899
In practice, this means that each player may play in two sections.
If possible, the tournament will be played using the Silli system (12 games) on the ICCF server.
Tournament Regulations
- ICCF standard time control: 10 moves in 50 days, with duplication after 20 days
- 45 days of leave per year are available
- No special leave is granted for this event
- Linear conditional moves are permitted
- Claims based on the seven-piece tablebase are allowed
- The event will be ICCF-rated
- ICCF title norms may be achieved if the relevant criteria are met
- Tie-breaking: ICCF standard procedures (para. 1.3.4.2.2 a–e)
- If required, adjudicators will be appointed by the ICCF server
- Other participants may view games after 10 games in the event are completed
- The general public may also view games after 10 games in the event are completed
The tournament will start on 24 April 2026.
There is no fixed end date.
Prizes and Certificates
Prize Fund – Groups 01 & 02
- 1st place: €150 cash + €150 ChessBase voucher
- 2nd place: €100 cash + €100 ChessBase voucher
- 3rd place: €50 cash + €50 ChessBase voucher
Prize Fund – Groups 03 to 14
- 1st place: €30 ChessBase voucher
- 2nd place: €20 ChessBase voucher
- 3rd place: €10 ChessBase voucher
All cash prizes will be paid via PayPal.
If a place is shared after tie-breaks, the prize will be divided equally.
All prizes will be distributed after the completion of all groups in the tournament.
Electronic certificates will be awarded to the top 10 places in each group.
